Construction Project Manager – Retail and Restaurant Multi-Site Remodels – Base Salary to 80k/year – Dallas, TX

With experience across all 50 states and Canada they offer nationwide rollouts, interior and exterior refreshes, open/closed store remodels and more. With a self-performed team of expert craftsmen and project managers they have worked with some of the largest named clients in the country and continue to grow. They specialize in big-box retail, petroleum (gas stations and convenience stores), and quick service restaurants.
• The Construction Project Manager (internally titled Construction Field Project Manager) will be an essential player on this team. This person can live anywhere in the United States!! The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for managing the field teams/staff effectively to execute assigned projects. Their main goal will be to maintain quality control processes in order to meet client expectations while also coordinating the multiple teams to maximize productivity and profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Traveling to job-sites often to oversee project schedule, quality, communication, and execution.
• Oversee multi-site rollout construction projects from start to finish on quick service/casual dining restaurants, big box retail stores, and convenience/gas station retail centers
• Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
• Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all sub-teams.
• Handle all customer inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
• Support and execute change management activities in project scope.
• Working alongside and taking direction from both Senior and Construction Project Managers to ensure a successful project/program.
• Reporting daily on project/program status based off field oversight.
• Communicating effectively with field teams, sub-contractors, superintendents, project managers, store management staff, and sometimes clients to ensure all parties are on the same page and have what is needed for a successful project.
• This position requires up to 90% travel throughout the United States
• This position often requires oversight on night-time renovation projects of big box stores, gas station/convenience store retail renovations, etc.

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have a Minimum 2+ years of experience in the construction industry (Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Foreman, etc.)
• Ideally, this person should have interiors construction experience in the following:
• Tenant improvement/interiors of big-box retail, petroleum (gas stations/convenience stores), or national chain quick service restaurants
• Must be proficient in the use of Estimating Software (i.e. Estimator360, BuilderTrend, STACK,PROCORE, PROEST, or others)
• Must be able to read and interpret plans, details, and specifications
• Knowledge/ Experience in Carpentry, Electrical, Paint, Plumbing, etc.
• Experience with construction management software (i.e. BuilderTrend, Procore, etc.)
• Ability to comprehensively explain scope of work
• Experience working with subcontractors, managing schedule, budget, materials, quality, and safety on a job site
• Willingness to travel extensively across the United States to multiple construction sites

Compensation:

• Base salary up to 80k/year depending on years of experience and project portfolio
