Construction Project Manager – General Contractor – Monthly Salary 8k/ - 6 Month Contract – Washington, DC

  • Our client is a commercial GC that specializes in construction on the east coast and is looking for a 6 month Contracted Project Manager for a job located in Washington DC.
  • In this role, the Construction Project Manager will be coordinating with internal teams, stakeholders, and owners to drive projects through to completion. The client has a number of smaller projects that will be completed at the same building over this time frame.  This will involve working closely with the Estimating and Operations teams.  The ideal candidate for this role should have commercial project management experience, as well as strong communication, computer, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze blueprints, specs, contracts, and other documentation
  • Collaborate with Estimating team in bidding process
  • Develop scopes of work for various disciplines
  • Work with project team to obtain permits
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate projects
  • Manage evaluation of costs and impact of revisions, change orders, etc.
  • Maintain constructive relationships with subcontractors, clients, and site personnel
  • Coordinate closely with client as well as internal teams through all stages of assigned projects

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in commercial construction
  • Project Management experience
  • GC experience preferred
  • Computer-savvy, proficiency with Excel required, proficiency with Project Management software preferred
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret plans and specifications relative to the scope of work and schedule
  • Must have experience with architectural and structural drawings

Compensation:

  • Monthly salary 7k - 8k
  • Position is a 6 month Contract for right now, will either be a 1099 role or hired through the company
  • PTO
  • Working on site in Downtown Washington DC
  • Monday-Friday First Shift Schedule
