Construction Project Manager – Civil and Steel Construction Company – Base Salary to 98k/year – Lockport, IL
- Our client is a small business in Lockport, IL. They are professional, fast-paced, challenging and their goal is to continue growing and expanding.
- The Construction Project Manager will have primary responsibility for multiple construction contracts from initial award through project close-out. The position will report directly to the VP of Operations daily and work closely to plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. The Construction Project Manager is responsible for organizing and overseeing construction procedures and ensuring they are completed in a timely fashion per bid documents, CSI proposal and take-off.
Responsibilities:
- Project Management of multiple projects at one time. These are primarily government projects including bridges and roadways.
- Schedule all job-project tasks and report interim status to VP of Operations.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors.
- Perform project engineering tasks, including cost estimation, scheduling, and coordination with contractors and stakeholders.
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications using drafting software. - Conduct technical writing to document project progress, findings, and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in management.
- 10+ years of experience in construction. Primarily cast in place concrete (CIP) on bridge and roadwork projects.
- Experience with stormwater and storm sewer junctions is a plus.
- Expert in Excel.
- Proven experience in engineering analysis, system design, and project engineering.
- Strong knowledge of ProCore software.
- Proficient in technical writing and drafting software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Compensation:
- Base salary from 68k – 98k/year.
- Vehicle allowance and/or company vehicle.
