Construction Project Manager – Architectural Metals & Glass Fabrication – Base Salary to 120k/year - Queens, NY
- Founded in 1989, our client is a one-stop-shop and full-service provider of architectural metals and glass products. With experience in enclosures, ornamental metals, architectural specialties, mechanical components, and metal art they can fabricate and install in commercial buildings, stadiums, and airports across New York City. With their own in-house design, project management, and estimating teams – they are well-equipped for any challenging project!
- The Construction Project Manager is a crucial member of this local team in Middle Village, NY. This person will oversee construction projects from inception to completion. They will work with our clients' Estimating team, General Contractor, Architect, and Subcontractors to ensure project dates are met!
Responsibilities:
- Tracking construction document changes
- Coordinating with the General Contractor, Architect, and Subcontractors to ensure project dates are met. Items include but not limited to:
- Communicating to the client tasks which will need to be completed in order for our company to perform our contractual work
- Resolving issues and conflicts which arise during the course of construction and making decisions to keep the project on track
- Track submittals
- Track change orders
- Track costs in relationship to the estimate
- Managing construction project schedules from submittal, fabrication, and installation perspective
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 4+ years of experience on large complex commercial construction projects
- Experience working with metal and glass fabrication/installation is highly desired for this role
- PM schedule building
- Construction drawings and specifications
- Self-performing trade knowledge:
- Ability to analyze crew sizes and material needs for self-perform activities
- Experience comparing self-perform pricing against historical costs and productivity
- Aware of union trade wage hour restrictions
- Consults with internal team members for their input and expertise
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- History of developing project schedules
- Preferably, this candidate will have an extensive architectural background
- Must have the ability to work in-office, 5 days/week
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 75k – 120k/year range
- Annual bonus potential

FUN FACT: My fun fact is actually about my brother, we are twins and he is one minute older than me. So at all times there is two of me running around somewhere!
What motivates you? – My favorite quote is from Will Durant summarizing the works of Aristotle that reads, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” My goal in life is to always be better today, than I was yesterday. Not only for myself but for the people I choose to surround myself with. Every day I want to impact someone in a positive light and the consistent habit of excellence is what gets me out of bed every morning.
When did you start selling? – My dad told me once when I was a teenager that “you could sell ice to an Eskimo.” So ever since then I think I’ve had a knack for it. I absolutely love meeting and talking to people so it’s always been a gift I’ve had.
What is your favorite show or shows to binge watch? The Office, Lost, Stranger Things, Blue Bloods (just to name a few). I’m also a HUGE movie person, I absolutely love a good long movie that can draw in your attention and make you think.
