General Contracting, Construction Management, Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) and Design Build. They specialized in commercial, industrial, retail, and government projects. - The Construction Project Engineer will be an integral part of the local team here in Fredericksburg, TX. Our client is seeking college construction graduates for this entry-level salaried position required prior to becoming a Project Manager. This position is generally held for 1-3 years while being
trained. Promotion is determined by the commitment, ambition, knowledge and attitude of the individual.
Responsibilities:
- Know and understand safety policies
- Contract document organization, distribution and controls using company standards and software
- Assisting in Planning and scheduling using company standards and software
- Submittal organization, distribution and coordination to ensure quality control
- Attend and document meetings on and offsite
- Review and understand company estimating standards and software as well as coordinate with estimators and PM’s
- Coordination with Owner, Architect and Engineers as directed by the PM.
- Contract and Purchase order management
- Change order document management
- Understand and assist with internal cost control, cost accounting management and accounting reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering (or related degree) is highly desired for this role
- 1+ years as a Construction Project Engineer experience on new-build commercial, industrial, or multifamily projects ranging from $5m - $20m dollars
- Strong experience with Construction Software i.e. Procore, Sage, Bluebeam, CAD, etc.
- Candidate should have knowledge of projects that involve structural steel, concrete/foundations, Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) and more
- Ability to review drawings and specifications to become completely familiar with the project and identify long lead times and critical path items.
- Must have experience assisting with the building of schedules and budgets for all trades including site-work, utilities, civil applications, curb & gutter, paving, MEP’s, framing, roofing, etc.
- The ability to travel up to 3+ hours to jobsites within West and Central Texas as needed.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 75k - 100k/year range
- Project based and annual bonus opportunities

FUN FACT: My fun fact is actually about my brother, we are twins and he is one minute older than me. So at all times there is two of me running around somewhere!
What motivates you? – My favorite quote is from Will Durant summarizing the works of Aristotle that reads, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” My goal in life is to always be better today, than I was yesterday. Not only for myself but for the people I choose to surround myself with. Every day I want to impact someone in a positive light and the consistent habit of excellence is what gets me out of bed every morning.
When did you start selling? – My dad told me once when I was a teenager that “you could sell ice to an Eskimo.” So ever since then I think I’ve had a knack for it. I absolutely love meeting and talking to people so it’s always been a gift I’ve had.
What is your favorite show or shows to binge watch? The Office, Lost, Stranger Things, Blue Bloods (just to name a few). I’m also a HUGE movie person, I absolutely love a good long movie that can draw in your attention and make you think.
