Construction Project Engineer – Commercial GC – Base Salary to 90k/year – Las Vegas, NV

• Our client is a minority owned GC that has served the Nevada market since 1991. Their services include Pre-Construction and Construction with a wide array including Design Build, Project Management Services, Value Engineering, Logistical Planning, Project Budget Development Programs and much more. They self-perform in framing, and are experts in a multitude of industries including casino/hospitality, restaurants, healthcare, K-12, public works, parks & recreation, multifamily and more. Regardless of project size or scope they offer high quality problem-solving solutions and construction planning from conception to completion. 
  
• The Construction Project Engineer is a crucial player in the Las Vegas and Laughlin operations, as currently they are needing someone who can work on a large project in the Laughlin area for the next year (the majority of their work is in Las Vegas). This person will be responsible for building the framework of documentation for each project and act as liaison between PM’s, Superintendents, Owners, and internal staff. 

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Senior Project Managers, Superintendents, and other project stakeholders as needed
• Put together work logs and assist Superintendents with meeting minutes during all subcontractor meetings
• Build and document constructability reviews with Estimators and PMs
• Process pay applications
• Process and document RFIs and change orders with assistance of Project Managers
• Ensure that all necessary documentation is in the system in real-time

 Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Project Engineer experience on commercial or other large scale construction projects (several million dollars plus)
• Must understand construction documentation policies and procedures
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contract documents, and budget/cost documents 
• Must have professional communication with a sense of urgency
• Must have computer skills in MS Office/Excel, or construction management software (Procore preferred)
• Must have the ability work in the office/trailer full time and travel to job sites as needed
• Must be able to work on site in Laughlin, NV for the next year

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 60k - 90k/year range, dependent on experience
