Construction Project Engineer – Commercial GC – Base Salary to 80k/year – Las Vegas, NV

• Our client is a mid-sized GC based in Las Vegas, NV that has specialized in all aspects of commercial construction, project delivery management, and high-end residential developments since 2005. They have excelled on projects in the Gaming, Hospitality, Retail, and Restaurant space. Whether they are building from the ground up, or renovating an existing structure, they focus on quality, dependability, and honesty at their core.
• The Construction Project Engineer is a crucial player in their Las Vegas operations, they are needing someone with experience with a GC to aid in Preconstruction and Estimating tasks on current projects. This person will be responsible for curating and maintaining all project documentation, as well as engineering methods for trade scope management, procurement, quality and safety. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Estimators, Project Managers, Superintendents, and other project stakeholders as needed
• Aid in preconstruction, generate submittal / procurement logs
• Build and document constructability reviews with Estimators and PMs
• Process pay applications
• Process and document RFIs and change orders with assistance of Project Managers
• Create and assemble contract packages for issuance to subcontractors
• Handle material and equipment procurement
• Ensure that all necessary documentation is in the system in real-time
• Walk job sites on a routine basis to confirm/document that field is organized and proceeding according to project plans and specs
• Assist in schedule actualizations, review schedules and look-aheads

 Qualifications:

• Project Engineering experience on commercial or other large scale construction projects (several million dollars plus)
• Must understand construction documentation policies and procedures
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contract documents, and budget/cost documents 
• Must have professional communication and coordination skills
• Must have computer skills in MS Office/Excel and construction management software (Planswift, P6, MS Projects, and Procore preferred)
• Must be able to work on site for various projects

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 60k – 80k/year range, dependent on experience
