Construction Project Coordinator - Commercial Construction - Base Salary to 60k/year - Arlington Heights, IL

• Our client, a commercial general contractor, is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to support commercial construction projects, including tenant improvements and ground-up builds within the financial services sector. This role is based in the Arlington Heights, IL office and supports project execution from preconstruction through closeout, with a strong focus on subcontractor compliance and project documentation management.

Responsibilities:

• Support project setup and maintain project records within internal systems
• Track construction projects from bidding through closeout
• Maintain and distribute project documentation including drawings, RFIs, submittals, and closeout materials
• Manage subcontractor compliance documentation including Certificates of Insurance (COIs), W-9s, and subcontract agreements
• Coordinate with subcontractors and clients to ensure insurance compliance requirements are met and maintained
• Assist with building permits, municipal coordination, and contractor licensing requirements
• Support site safety documentation and compliance tracking
• Coordinate subcontractor onboarding, readiness, and documentation for billing and project closeout
• Prepare and distribute project closeout packages including O&M manuals
• Attend project meetings and distribute meeting minutes

Qualifications:

• Experience supporting commercial construction projects (internship or full-time)
• Experience handling construction insurance compliance, including COIs and subcontractor documentation
• Experience maintaining project documentation (drawings, submittals, contracts, or closeout documents)
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, or project stakeholders
• Ability to work onsite daily in Arlington Heights, IL

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 55k - 60k/year range
