Construction Office Superintendent – Industrial Construction & Millwright Services – Base Salary to 100k/year – Milwaukee, WI

• Our client is a small business that has been around since 1915. They focus on heavy industrial construction, including rigging and heavy machinery moving. They also have a vertical construction side that handles steel erection and structural reinforcements. They primarily serve the Milwaukee area and are looking for experienced industrial construction supervisors who understand how to run crews.

• In this role, the Construction Office Superintendent will support the Project Managers to plan, coordinate, and dispatch all resources (labor, equipment, material) across all active job sites. They will essentially act as the go-between from the PMs to the 30-50 union workers in the field (this role is non-union). Work environment is in-office, with occasional trips on site as needed. They need experienced but coachable people who can adapt to their company’s way of doing things. Experience with rigging and machinery moving is crucial in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule and dispatch crews, drivers, vehicles and/or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer requests or needs
• Communicate with Project Managers and Foremen to update job requirements and scheduling via phone, email and in person
• Perform on-call dispatching duties when needed
• Track manpower and equipment locations and make available to all staff
• Ensure all employees possess proper training and certifications. Coordinate training and certification needs that are not up to date
• Enforce and take disciplinary action for rules and regulation violations for field employees
• Hire millwrights and ironworkers as needed
• Travel to jobsites as needed (infrequent)
• Coordinate the service needs of equipment

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in a supervisory industrial construction role
• Demonstrated proficiency in scheduling, planning, and managing crews
• Ability to read and understand plans
• Rigging and machinery moving experience required
• Dispatching experience preferred
• MS Office and general computer proficiency
• Ability to work in-office from 6:30am to 3:00pm M-F
• Coachable attitude, ability to adapt and take criticism when appropriate

 Compensation:

• Base salary in the 70k – 100k/year range, dependent on experience
