Construction Manager – Mechanical/HVAC New Construction – Base Salary to 150k/year – Ketchum, ID

• The Construction Manager (internally titled New Construction Manager)will be a key player on this local team in Ketchum, ID. We are in need of someone to manage all of the operations for the New Construction Department. This person will have excellent growth potential as they will be in charge of a quickly growing team of field professionals and will be maintaining relationship with GC’s that have been in place for many years.

Responsibilities:

• Track and manage the New Construction Department workflow through Service Fusion software
• Ensure the daily New Construction schedule is maximizing time and profitability with the support of the Office Manager and Dispatchers
• Manage the New Construction Technicians to confirm jobs are completed to code with high quality standards and done in a timely fashion with minimal callbacks
• Meet with construction site superintendents
• Work with architects and designers on system designs
• Meet with builders to sell new projects and creating bids
• Use plans from builders to layout HVAC systems for the team
• Provide Estimates to clients from design plans
• Communicate with our customers on their questions and resolve issues
• Create and refine processes for New Construction Department workflow
• Perform weekly check ins and monthly Employee Development Meetings (EDM) with New Construction Technicians
• Ensure thorough care is taken of company property such as vehicle, cell phone, tablet, and provided tools
• Provide technical support to New Construction Technicians
• Work with Inventory/Fleet Manager to verify proper warranty part returns
• Provide feedback and support to the Inventory/Fleet Manager with requests or fleet maintenance needs
• Provide Service Fusion training to new Technicians on the following:
• Time tracking
• Invoicing
• Material tracking
• Manage time off requests for New Construction Technician staff
• Build a weekly agenda and facilitate New Construction Department trainings as Technician staffing increases
• Contact potential hires and address staffing needs with the Management team
• Build relationships with our vendors (Thermal Supply, Lochinvar reps, etc.) to find third party training opportunities that would benefit Technicians

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience managing the new construction of HVAC/Mechanical services on either light-commercial or high-end new residential projects
• Preferably, candidates will have an HVAC new construction background with an active Journeyman license
• Experience with estimating and bidding procedures
• Experience meeting with Superintendents, Architects, Engineers, and Owners
• Understanding of the design side of HVAC construction and all involved documents, specifications, and plans
• Must be proficient at reading blueprints
• The ability to travel to jobsites within a 50 mile radius of the home office in Ketchum, ID
• Must have a thorough understanding of schedule building, time tracking, invoicing, and material tracking

Compensation:

• Base salary up to 150k/year
• Quarterly profit sharing bonus potential – up to 15k or more per quarter
