Construction Expeditor - Construction Firm - Base Salary to 60k/year - Newark, NJ

  • Our client is a construction firm that specializes in exterior and facade projects in New York City.  The firm needs to bring on a Construction Expeditor as they continue to grow.  The ideal candidate is someone that is use to working with NYC bureaucracies such as DOB and DOT and handling documentation.  The position works on site in Newark, NJ where the corporate office is located.  

Responsibilities:

  • Track purchase orders for Construction team and schedule site delivery
  • Coordinate delivery of Materials between warehouse locations and projects
  • Support field operations by providing necessary documentation, schematics, and instructions for installations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all phases of material handling.
  • Assist with permitting issues for local, state and federal requirements to ensure all permits are secured for projects.
  • Oversee day-to day management of projects

Qualifications:

  • Commercial Construction Experience, specifically in NYC.
  • Proficient knowledge of building codes and OSHA requirements
  • Experience working with city departments such as DOB and DOT

Compensation:

  • Base salary up to 60k/year
