Construction Estimator - Residential Roofing - Base Salary to 100k/year - Fort Myers, FL
- Our client is a fast-growing roofing company that specializes in custom residential and commercial projects. They primarily serve the SW Florida market, but are expanding towards the Tampa and Orlando markets as well. They pride themselves on the quality and integrity of their service, and have merged with a national roofing contractor to increase their resources and reach.
- In this role, the Construction Estimator is responsible for overseeing multiple projects from all aspects, including design, estimating, owner selection, and execution. The Construction Estimator will provide estimates on shingle, tile, and metal roofing projects throughout the area, working primarily out of the Fort Myers office. They need an experienced roofing professional with EDGE estimating experience. Passion, drive, and the ability to build good relationships are highly valued attributes for our client.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed estimates for custom residential and some commercial projects (shingle, tile, and metal) using EDGE software
- Analyze requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
- Determine what factors of production will influence cost
- Maintain current market pricing for materials in the estimating system
- Generate job cost reports
- Develop and maintain relationships with company vendors and contractors
- Perform hand off meetings to assigned Project Managers
- Present prepared estimates to management
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience as an Estimator in the roofing industry
- Proficiency in EDGE estimating software is required
- Custom residential and/or commercial roofing experience preferred
- Ability to work out of the Fort Myers office, with occasional travel on site for complex projects
- Good leadership and organizational skills, and ability to analyze and prioritize workflow
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 80k – 100k/year range
