Construction Estimator - Residential Construction - Base Salary to 85k/year - Greenville, SC
- Our client is a leading custom home builder, located in the upstate of South Carolina, dedicated to delivering high-quality, personalized homes. They are committed to excellence in every project, ensuring their clients’ visions are brought to life with precision and care.
- The Construction Estimator will play a critical role in our clients’ residential project development process. This position requires an experienced professional with a deep understanding of the home construction process, from the initial concept through project completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs, preparing bids, and collaborating with design and construction teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed cost estimates for custom home projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Prepare and submit bids for residential construction projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope of work and required resources.
- Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating pricing to ensure competitive and fair pricing.
- Monitor project costs and provide ongoing cost analysis throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate estimates align with project goals.
- Prepare and present cost reports, budget updates, and other financial information to management.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as an estimator in residential construction, specifically custom homes.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software; experience with ECI MarkSystems is preferred but not required. Familiarity with SketchUp is also highly desirable.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes in custom home building.
- Experience with ECI MarkSystems or similar construction management software, preferred
- Experience with SketchUp or other 3D modeling software, preferred
Compensation:
- Base salary up to 85k/year.
