Construction Estimator - Architectural Metals - Base Salary to 110k/year - Queens, NY

• Our client who is a leading commercial metal fabrication company in Queens is seeking a Construction Estimator with experience in ornamental metals, enclosures, architectural metal systems, and custom mechanical components. The department is newly restructured, offering major opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed takeoffs from architectural and structural drawings
  
• Prepare estimates, budgets, and bid packages for commercial projects
  
• Analyze project specifications, scope documents, and material requirements
  
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and fabrication teams
  
• Build and maintain vendor relationships for accurate material pricing
  
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and client calls when needed
  
• Assist in developing standardized estimating processes and templates
  
• Work on multiple bids simultaneously in a high-volume environment

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience estimating commercial metal fabrication or architectural specialty projects
  
• Strong ability to read architectural and structural drawings
  
• Proficiency in takeoffs, measurements, and cost breakdowns
  
• Experience with Excel, on-screen takeoff tools, or PDF markup software
  
• Strong organizational and communication skills
  
• Familiarity with NYC commercial construction is a plus

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 75k - 110k/year range
