- Our client is a reputable and thriving commercial construction company known for its commitment to excellence, innovation, and delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. With a track record of successful projects and a dynamic team of professionals, they are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of construction excellence.
- They are seeking a Construction Estimator to join their team. This position will play a pivotal role in shaping the initial stages of their projects by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates. As a key member of the estimating team, the Construction Estimator will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the company!
Responsibilities:
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information and ensure accurate pricing.
- Prepare comprehensive quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns for various project components.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, negotiate pricing, and select the most suitable partners for the project.
- Utilize industry-standard software and tools to generate accurate estimates and maintain an organized database of pricing information.
- Present estimates to project management and clients, explaining the rationale behind the provided figures.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and other relevant activities to gather insights and address potential issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Construction Management or related field/experience can be substituted!
- Proven experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator, with 10+ years of relevant work experience.
- Excellent understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and processes.
- Solid knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Design-build experience is a must!
Compensation:
- Base salary up to 130k/year, plus bonus
- Full benefits package
- Vehicle + gas card

What did you want to be when you grew up?
From the time I was a baby, I always had this tiny pink basketball in my hand and a smile on my face. When I started to grow out of that tiny pink ball, I upgraded to an actual basketball and I dribbled it every day to elementary school with that same smile on my face. So obviously, my dream was to be a WNBA player! Unfortunately, I wasn’t THAT good. I played in college and had the opportunity to coach at the collegiate level which ended up being an even bigger dream come true. I learned my true passion was for people and helping them reach their goals, which essentially lead me to this career in recruiting. Now, I don’t dribble my ball to work every day, but I do come to work with a SMILE every day!
