Construction Estimator – Casework Manufacturer/Installer Company - Base Salary to 90k/year – North Kansas City, MO

• Our client specializes in Commercial Casework/Millwork for projects ranging from Sports Arenas to small tenant finishes. They are currently seeking an Construction Estimator (internally titled Casework/Milling Estimator) to join their team who has a background in the casework manufacturing and installation industry and who can work with General Contractors to help continue growing the company in the Kansas City market. • The Construction Estimator they are seeking will have construction industry experience, the ability to read blueprints, and produce competitive estimates for casework and millwork scopes. Candidates will need to be proficient in navigating Mozaik, AutoCAD, or other drafting programs, be organized, have exceptional time management skills, be dependable and able to work within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and review of all installation estimates for casework/millwork.
• Responsible for bid document and spec review, internal estimating, coordination of scope and bidding, pre-bid documentation, schedules, bid accuracy analysis and project handoff.
• Clear and concise communication with Project Managers, architects, and general contractors to verify needed solutions and job conditions.
• Manage schedules and priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Independently solve problems as they are identified, while maintaining close coordination with the project team to implement solutions.
• Coordinate with outside architectural firms who provide structural, electrical, and mechanical designs for projects.
• Work within established procedures to compile and maintain data for projects, both on paper and electronically, creating a historical record that allows for easy retrieval and archiving.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in a casework/millwork estimating role.
• Highly proficient in estimating software.
• Excellent understanding of the construction industry workflows.
• Experience in Commercial Casework/Millwork.
• Efficient and skilled with Mozaik, CAD-3D, Sketch-Up or similar programs used in designing cabinetry/millwork products.
• Outstanding communication skills – written, visual, and oral.
• Knowledge of millwork and construction production materials & techniques with the ability to interpret floor plans, architectural drawings, ID sets, and rough sketches.
• Strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills to meet submittal deadlines.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Capability to use critical thinking/problem solving skills.
• Proven track record of excellent performance, attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 45k – 90k/year or more depending on experience.
