Commercial Lines Account Manager - Independent Insurance Agency - Starting Base Salary to $50k + Benefits

  • Our client, a strong, reputable and stable independent insurance agency located in the Harford County, MD area, has an immediate need for a skilled Commercial Lines Account Manager for their large commercial lines team.  This is a fantastic opportunity with a large agency, where there is excellent training and career development, as well as a strong starting base salary, up to $50k.
  • In this Commercial Account Manager role, you will be responsible for daily service to an assigned book of commercial clients.  In addition, you will work to support both the Agency Producer and the Company Reps.  The work hours in this role will be Monday through friday, working a normal 8:30am-5pm shift.  Specific duties include:  Phone based customer service; preparing endorsements; working with companies/carriers and their various internet sites; invoicing as needed; preparing binders on new and renewal business; maintaining accurate files; reviewing renewals; attending CEU classes as needed; and more.

Compensation:  Strong and competitive base salary.  The benefits package is strong as well, as the company offers group health, dental, vision, disability, group life insurance, 401k with a company profit sharing plan, generous paid time off, and paid holidays.

Requirements:  Must have a strong commercial property and casualty insurance background, coming from another independent agency or broker environment.  An active P&C license is also a must.
