Claims Specialist - Public Entities - Base Salary to 115k/year - Los Angeles, CA
- Our client, a company that provides cost effective coverage programs and risk management solutions to its members is looking for a Claims Specialist to join their team. They provide risk & claims services to its member agencies across Southern CA. Their risk pooling structure allows members to pool their resources and share risks, which can be more cost-effective than traditional insurance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 120-150 claims per month ranging from simple to complex liability claims, including litigated and non-litigated occurrences.
- Develop cost-effective resolution strategies, investigates complaints, evaluates exposure, and coordinates claim settlements and report compilation.
- Communicate with members, defense attorneys, and plaintiffs to perform administrative and technical functions related to the liability program and related work. Their members include municipalities, cities, districts, and transit agencies.
Qualifications:
- Strong claims management expertise.
- Experience with government (municipal, city, transit) claims is highly preferred.
- Must be willing to do 10% travel throughout Southern CA for litigation.
- Candidates must reside in Southern California for full consideration for this position
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 88k - 115k/year range
- Full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision for the employee and their family, up to $2, 500/month.
- Paid Holidays, PTO, Pension, Milage Reimbursement, etc.
