Business Development Representative - Plastic Film Manufacturer - Base Salary to 100k/year - Los Angeles, CA
- Our client is a plastic film manufacturer with a global presence and over 75 years in business. They serve multiple industries including automotive, medical and pharmaceutical, shipping, and packaging industries.
- Our client is looking to add a Business Development Representative to their medical device and pharmaceutical division. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for managing current accounts while bringing in new business to expand the division. The Business Development Representative will be selling to medical and pharmaceutical manufacturing companies across the US. This role will require both domestic and international travel. When not traveling, this person will be working from their home office.
Responsibilities:
- Support and build relationships with both assigned and new customers to increase sales
- Identify new business opportunities to maximize profitability and reach objectives
- Provide quotes and prepare sales contacts with maintaining the medical device market customer profiles
- Work closely with R&D and Quality team to develop new business opportunities based on customer feedback and needs
- Presents company product portfolio to prospects to differentiate themselves
- Attend trade shows as needed
Qualifications:
- BS in Plastics/Polymer Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum 2+ years in related outside sales experience within the plastic film and/or medical device industry
- Background in plastics manufacturing is preferred; will also consider general medical/pharma manufacturing background
- Must be self-motivated to win new business
- Willingness to travel – 60% of the time; both domestic and international (MX and Germany)
- Plus for bilingual English/Spanish
Compensation:
- Compensation for this role includes a base salary up to 100k/year plus bonus program. Our client also offers a comprehensive benefits package with medical, dental, and vision 100% paid for by employer. Along with 401k, PTO, and much more!

I was born and raised in York, Pa. I completed my freshman year of college at Towson University. I soon realized Astronomy was not my thing, so I transferred back home to York College to pursue a career in Business. What I do in my free time?
My dad and I brew beer! My dream one day is to open up a brewery with him. If I’m not doing that, I am either reading about conspiracy theories, spending money at Target, or playing with my dog—those are really my only hobbies.
Piece of advice I would give myself?
Always remember money can’t buy happiness; but it can buy you a boat, which would probably make you a little happy. Piece of advice number two: it’s the little things in life that make it worth wild.
What I typically eat for breakfast?
Cereal. There is no argument there here, Frosted Flakes are the best.
