Business Development Manager - Outdoor Living Products - Base Salary to 100k/year - Cincinnati, OH

  • The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving growth and expanding the market presence within the outdoor living industry. This is a hunter sales role, focusing on building new relationships and increasing the footprint across the region. With an established customer base and strong brand reputation, the Business Development Manager will have the tools to succeed while continuing to grow the business.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and expand relationships with contractors, dealers, and distributors in the building materials industry.
  • Drive sales growth by increasing stocking dealers and developing an extensive contractor base.
  • Conduct site visits, trade shows, and industry events to promote products and build partnerships.
  • Provide product training and demonstrations to customers, ensuring they understand the unique benefits of the products.
  • Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce) to track leads, manage accounts, and forecast sales.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance sales tools and marketing strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field. Industry experience in building materials, lumber, or outdoor living products is a plus.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the drive to close deals.
  • Ability to travel 30-40% within the assigned territory (primarily Southern Michigan, Ohio, and Northeast Indiana).
  • Salesforce experience is a plus.
Compensation:
  • Base salary in the 80k - 100k/year range plus commission
