Business Development Manager – Fasteners Distributor – Base Salary to 140k/year – Dallas, TX
- Our client is a comprehensive industrial distribution company that focuses on fasteners and light assembly components. They are in the middle of an expansion and looking for a hunting oriented Business Development Manager to come on board out of the Dallas, TX area. This person will cover most of the state of Texas for the company in driving new business in offering vendor managed inventory programs with their product line. The right person will find this position can be in the 200k – 250k/year range for total compensation with that being a mix of base and commission.
Responsibilities:
- Develop sales with large, national and international accounts by selling VMI Programs to OEM and assembly plants
- Build and maintain a pipeline of relevant sales opportunities
- Actively participate in sales calls/meetings as scheduled
- Provide timely and accurate communication to internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in a Team-Selling environment
- Other duties as assigned
- Work in a defined territory with direct reporting to the VP of Sales
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3+ years of industrial sales experience is a must!
- Ideal candidate will have experience selling capital equipment in the sheet metal fabrication industry. Selling some type of machine tools is a plus.
- Valid Drivers License required
- Must have experience working with CRM programs
- Candidate must be an expert at time management and also have the ability to prioritize prospective accounts to maximize their productivity.
Compensation:
- Base salary is in the 100k – 140k/year range, plus strong commission. Total compensation in the 200k – 250k/year range.
- Car allowance.
