Building Maintenance Technician – Construction Investment Group – Base Salary to 25.00/hour - McHenry, IL
- Our client is a privately held investment group focused on growing brands in the construction, real estate, and consumer product industries.
- They are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Building Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for all occupants. The Building Maintenance Technician will play a critical role in preserving the overall functionality and appearance of our buildings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of building systems, equipment, and facilities to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and areas for improvement.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks, including but not limited to HVAC system checks, plumbing assessments, electrical system inspections, and structural evaluations.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, addressing issues such as leaks, malfunctions, and safety concerns.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC problems, implementing effective solutions to restore functionality.
- Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty equipment, components, and fixtures, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and equipment serviced.
- Perform regular cleaning and upkeep tasks, including painting, carpentry work, and landscaping, to maintain the building's aesthetic appeal.
- Will be working Monday - Friday, 10hr shifts. Some weekends as needed.
Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure, especially during emergencies.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 20.00 – 25.00/hour range
- OT pay.
