Building Automation Estimator - BAS and DDC Controls - Base Salary to 110k/year - Reisterstown, MD
- Our client, a well-established Building Automation and Controls Provider is currently seeking to add an Estimator to their staff in Reisterstown, MD. This is a small to mid-sized company that is large enough to offer consistent business opportunities, yet small enough to be family oriented. They provide BAS/DDC automation controls (Delta, Allerton, Tridium, Schneider, Coppertree, Siemens, Milestone) for HVAC, Access, Security/Surveillance, Smoke, & Lighting for Healthcare/Hospitals, Labs, Data Centers, & Government buildings.
- They are currently looking for a Building Automation Estimator for their team. The Building Automation Estimator role can be an early career option for someone with at least 1+ years of Building Automation Controls experience (installation, programming, service, or other) with excellent interpersonal and proficient computer skills, OR it can be for a more experienced BAS/DDC Estimator looking to make a change.
Responsibilities:
- Review plans and specifications to qualify potential opportunities
- Prepare cost estimates and proposals for qualified opportunities
- Perform occasional site walks for scope /clarity re: plans/specs
- Promote products and services to end users and engineers/ contractors
- Maintain correspondence with new and existing customers
- Maintain record of activity in CRM, utilize estimating software
- Collect bid documents, read plans, generate proposals, secure projects
- Participate in project & business development meetings
- Handle opportunities directly, or as a team depending on requirements
- Develop /maintain client relationships & update on company offerings
- Participate in ongoing technical and business development training
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience with Building Automation Controls (BAS/DDC) in installation, service, programming, sales, OR estimating
- Proficient computer skills MS Office (ability to learn CRM and Estimating Software)
- Interest in Estimating, Business Development, Sales
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 70k - 110k/year range
- Subjective bonus opportunities
- Health & Dental Insurance 50% company paid
- 401k after 6 months; 4% company match
