BIM Manager – Construction - Base Salary to 100k/year – Troy, MI

- They are looking to bring on a BIM manager who will initiate innovative solutions to increase efficiency in design and production. In this role, you will employ your knowledge of custom parametric families, output BOMs, and robotic/CNC controls to work alongside architects and engineers in residential design.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee BIM 360, design processes and modeling in Revit
- Set up templates and standards for use by all disciplines
- Lead BIM processes for shop drawing from permit drawings
- Assist architect/engineers solve Revit-related issues or needs
- Help to create, maintain and change ASMEP models as needed
- Creation of advanced parametric families and processes
- Set model standards for various design phases from concept to shop drawing
- Liaison with Design team, Contractors, and Fabricators
- Develop processes for interdisciplinary coordination – Arch, Structural & MEP
- Coordinate BOM (bill of material) output with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
- Assist/instruct designers in learning new features
- Manage software licensing: Revit, Bluebeam, SolidWorks, MasterCAM, FrameCAD
- Maintain and enforce BIM Execution Plan standards with consultants
- Assist in the software development of custom Revit plug-in by external team
Qualifications:
- 7+ years working with Revit in an Architecture or Engineering firm
- Bachelor’s degree in construction, Architecture or Engineering (Prof. or Tech.)
- Autodesk Certified Professional or similar
- Liaison with Client, Design team, Contractors and Fabricators
- Thorough understanding of construction documents in ASMEP
- Revit, AutoCAD, Dynamo and Navisworks; SolidWorks an asset
- Clash review, parametric, custom families, BOM to ERP, VR/Rendering
Compensation:
- Base salary up to 100k/year plus bonus
