BAS Project Engineer – Building Automation and Controls – Base Salary to 130k/year – Philadelphia, PA

  • Our client is a full-service Energy Management & Building Automation Controls company that specializes in the Niagara Framework. They work very closely with customers to provide solutions for all service and project needs ranging in size from commercial to industrial applications.  
  • The Building Controls Project Engineer will be “the” key player for our ever-growing team. This individual will be tasked to identify and sell building automation solutions that can help the client achieve their environmental, operational, financial, and people goals. We are looking for an individual who is interested in leadership, because this role will develop into a Director/VP level position for the right person. This person will be directly responsible for helping to grow the Building Controls side of our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Hiring, training, and supervising BAS team 
  • Build/develop company policies and programs to efficiently execute BAS projects.
  • Communicates effectively with company leadership and team.
  • Prospects to locate and develop relationships with new clients.
  • Develops and implements specific action plans that improve project closure rate and produce profitable business.
  • Develops and delivers presentations for prospective clients.
  • Converts leads into opportunities.
  • Works effectively in a team environment.
  • Works with existing and prospective clients to understand project goals.
  • Collects and communicates to operations the pertinent project information required to create quality project estimates.
  • Confirms project scope and bill of material with customers.
  • Determines recommended selling strategy and initial pricing.
  • Presents the proposal and negotiates price and contract terms and conditions with customers.
  • Coordinates or engages in the project execution process as required.
  • Resolves deviations in scope with the client to preserve client experience and satisfaction.
  • Consistently ascertains customer needs and current market opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in a technical or business-related field.
  • Three years of experience in BAS Project Engineering, Project Sales, Project Management or Marketing.
  • Experience with Niagara 4 Platform is highly desired
  • Must have experience reading/interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
  • MS Visio or AutoCAD Experience
  • Experience with other BAS product lines such as Honeywell, Tridium N4/AX, Schneider Electric, Siemens JCI, Trane, Alerton, Reliable, Delta Controls, Automated Logic, etc.
  • Communication Integration with BACnet, Modbus, LON, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial/industrial HVAC system design
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills with the ability to represent company to customers and build strong relationships in the field
  • Must have a valid driver’s license

Compensation :

  • Base salary up to 130k/year, based on experience and management
