BAS Controls Technician – Industrial and Commercial Building Automation & Controls – Base Salary to 45.00/hour – Norristown, PA

  • Our client is a full-service Energy Management & Building Automation controls company that specializes in the Niagara framework. They pride themselves in working very closely with customers to provide solutions to a wide variety of project needs. They perform work ranging in size from the industrial to commercial sector. From integration & interface, service & retrofit, to supervisory control, they are a one-stop-shop for Building Automation Control needs.
  • The BAS Controls Technician will be a field based role that requires travel throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This person will be providing installation, programming, startup, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting for a wide variety of building automation and control systems that include HVAC, lighting control, and access control systems. This person must have experience with common RS-485 protocols (such as BACNet MS/TP and BAACNet IP, LON, and N2.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide installation, maintenance, and service to our customers
  • This position involves troubleshooting and repairing all components of industrial and commercial Building Automation and Controls systems
  • Responsible for the calibration and testing, troubleshooting and repair, and maintenance of control systems and field gear equipment
  • Strong understanding and daily troubleshooting of wiring systems and field instrumentation wiring
  • Must have a strong understanding of electrical/wiring schematics
  • Will perform customer service with a strong attention to detail and professional behavior
  • Will be required to travel locally to service clients throughout southern Pennsylvania and New Jersey

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 4+ years of Building Automation and Controls experience
  • Must have Tridium Niagara N4/ AX technical certificate program (TCP)
  • Honey or Johnson Controls experience is also preferred
  • Experience with common RS-485 protocols (such as BACNet MS/TP and BACNet IP, LON, and N2) is required
  • Must have a Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
  • High School Diploma
  • Completion of AAS in Technical Curriculum or Technical Trade School is desired

Compensation:

  • Base salary up to 45.00/hour dependent on BAS field service and installation experience
