Auto Adjuster – Regional Carrier - Base Salary to 90k/year – Hagerstown, MD
- Our client, a reputable 100+ year carrier that serves MD, PA, VA, DE, and DC, is looking for a Auto Adjuster to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, negotiating and resolving personal and commercial auto claims. You will handle 1st party physical damage claims, personal injury protection (PIP) and medical payment claims (Medpay), 3rd party property damage & bodily injury claims.
- Other responsibilities include: verifying coverage, drafting coverage letters, investigating auto accidents and determine liability, manages auto rental needs for insureds and claimants, evaluates claims exposure, negotiating settlement, applies litigation management through selection of defense counsel and direction of claim and litigation strategy.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years auto claims experience.
- Knowledge of federal and state court systems.
- Experience handling total loss vehicle damage preferred.
- Adjuster license or must be secured within 6 months of hire.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 75k – 90k/year range depending on experience.
- In addition, the agency offers medical, dental, vision, ST and LT Disability, Life Insurance, Lucrative PTO, Paid Holidays, etc.
- This role is hybrid. 3 days from home and 2 days in office.
