Assistant Yard Manager - Metals Recycling - Base Salary to 95k/year - Tulsa, OK
- Our client, a large Scrap Metal Recycler, is seeking an Assistant Yard Manager to oversee the daily operations of the scrap yard including managing a team of workers, ensuring efficient sorting & processing of scrap materials, maintaining inventory and monitoring safety.
- In this role, the Assistant Yard Manager will also be coordinating with customers regarding scrap and identifying ways to maximize profitability
Responsibilities:
- Lead & Manage Team of Scrap Yard Workers-- Hiring, Training, Assigning & Prioritizing Tasks
- Maintain accurate records of scrap metal inventory through cycle counts, ensuring proper sorting of materials
- Monitor the flow of scrap-- inbound & Outbound shipments
- Inspect incoming scrap materials ensuring Quality Standards are met
- Interacting with Customers to receive scrap materials
- Enforcing Safety Procedures within the scrap yard
- Monitor Operations and ensure compliance with local environmental regulations regarding scrap & waste disposal
- Coordinate maintenance for repair & preventative service for equipment
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to effectively lead & motivate a team in a demanding environment
- Understanding of different types of scrap metals
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Safety Awareness
Compensation:
- Compensation for this role includes a base salary up to 95k/year. Benefits are also offered.
