Architectural Sales Representative - Building Products - Base Salary to 130k/year - Los Angeles, CA
- Founded in 1948, our client is a specialty building products manufacturer who provides solutions to building challenges that architects, designers, building owners, facility managers, and contractors face every day. Since inventing the first extruded louver, they have become a global leader in all our product categories. Their products are a part of some of the most iconic buildings around the world–from the world’s tallest tower, Burj Khalifa in Dubai, to the Oculus at the World Trade Center Transit Hub in Manhattan.
- They are looking for an Architectural Sales Representative to join their team in the Los Angeles area. This position will be responsible for specification development and product promotion through the development of relationships within the architectural and contractor community.
Responsibilities:
- Leverages competitive selling advantages (strengths vs competitive weaknesses) throughout the selling process, thereby delivering solutions that are specified and converted to bookings.
- Develops and coordinates sales presentations for architectural and contractor community within the region.
- Develops pipeline of projects from lead qualification to specification to bid and then tracking to closure.
- Plans, controls and follows all quotations, through booking, for project in which their involvement is directly related.
- Promotes all company solutions and new products to designated accounts to secure new, major and important accounts.
- Maintains a working knowledge and up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that impact our market for all products and services.
- Understands how company products and solutions integrate with other building materials during the construction process.
- Travel as required within assigned region to maintain effectiveness. Travel to Corporate locations as required. Reasonable expectation of travel is around 20%.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 1 + years of experience in the commercial construction industry & architectural specification market
- Strong appetite for applied learning
- Devising sales approaches & solutions
- Cold Calling, negotiation & presentation experience
- Team player – motivated to achieve own objectives but puts higher priority on team goals.
- Computer literacy windows based (Excel, word & pptx)
- Analytical capability - Advanced Math skills
- Candidates must live within 1 hour of Los Angeles
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 110k – 130k/year range, depending on experience.
