Architectural Drafter – Construction – Base Salary to 75k/year – New Lexington, OH
- Our client is a premier roof tile and wall cladding manufacturer seeking to hire a drafter/modeler with architectural based knowledge. We are looking for candidates who want the opportunity to grow from within and are seeking longevity within a company. This role will be hybrid but you would be in the office 75% of the time.
- Successful candidates would have a working knowledge of commercial and residential architectural construction drawings and specifications with skills to interpret and apply the information to the Company’s roofing and cladding products.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with sales team, project design team and company personnel members to generate details that fulfill a project’s requirement.
- Apply knowledge of drafting/modeling software(s) to further the Company’s success and growth.
- Prepare project specific construction installation shop drawings from furnished architectural plans utilizing Company’s prototypical installation details.
- Prepare individual tile product drawings to inform a customer of individual tile(s) required for their project and for the Company’s craft force to manufacture the individual tile(s).
- Communicate with the design team, sales team, architects, designers, and contractors to gather proper technical data for each project.
- Assemble information for roofing and/or cladding product data submittal requirements.
- Provide timely updates on progression of drawing tasks, drawing completion, and overall workload.
- Perform component-based material takeoffs from furnished architectural drawings and specifications.
Qualifications:
- Experience using Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and/or SolidWorks is required.
- Seeking a professional Architectural Revit-CAD Designer with previous architectural drafting experience
- Ability to read, interpret and navigate construction documents from architectural drawings, structural drawings, related construction plans, and specifications.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in architectural, construction, or mechanical engineering is a plus.
- 3D scanning and resulting scanning data analysis and manipulation is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation:
- Base salary up to 75k/year, dependent on experience.
