Applications Engineer - Industrial Manufacturing – Base Salary to 105k/year – Roslyn Heights, NY
- Our client, with over 70 years in the industry, is a leading international manufacturer of machinery. They are one of the world’s most well-respected manufacturers of their product due to the company’s ability to continually develop fast and efficient high-quality products to meet the rigorous demands of today’s fast-paced production environment.
- In this role, the Applications Engineer will be responsible for customer installs, programming and operating the machinery, training customers and providing in-house demonstrations. This position does require 60-70% travel throughout the northeastern region of the US.
Responsibilities:
- Installation of machinery on customer site according to specifications at customer facilities in a timely manner to ensure full functionality
- Programming and operating machinery, machine configuration, tooling and running parts
- Providing phone technical support
- Customer training and in-house demonstrations, ensuring customers are comfortable with operational and safety procedures of their newly installed equipment
- Provide a communication link between customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer
- Complete documentation and reports related to installation, ensuring they are complete and accurate
- Provide customer with contact information for service team for future service needs and parts
- Travel 60%-70% of position (throughout the NE area of the US, occasionally Florida), travel arrangements will be made by the company
Qualifications:
- Industrial machinery experience, and/or industrial machine tool applications or related industry
- Mechanical abilities
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to read blueprints/manufacturing part prints
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong customer orientation. Provide favorable customer experience from initial contact through installation
- Ability to work independently
Compensation:
- Base salary 80k - 105k/year range depending on experience
