Accounts Receivable Coordinator – Engineering & Environmental Solutions Firm – Base Salary to 55k/year – Fairfax, VA

  • Our client, a diverse energy and environmental solutions-focused design & engineering firm on the East Coast, is seeking to add an Accounts Receivable coordinator to their team in Virginia. As a leading provider of state of the art Commercial, Residential, Multi-Family and Mixed-use MEP Design Services, our client continues to be an industry leader and award-winning provider of GREEN ENERGY building standards across the United States.
  • We are seeking trustworthy candidates who will work efficiently in a high-volume accounting environment to ensure invoices go out on-time and that they are 100% accurate. 
  • This is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days in the office and 2 days from a home office.


  • Prepares invoices for entry into QuickBooks (approximately 400-600 invoices per week).
  • Creates itemized statements, bills, invoices, and other necessary billing documents.
  • Ensures billing and receivables are correctly processed in a timely manner.
  • Addresses and corrects any discrepancies in account portfolios, invoices, or billing.
  • Frequently work in Excel to maintain team spreadsheets and track billing status/progress.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.


  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience working in a high-volume invoice or billing environment using QuickBooks.
  • Candidates must live within 25 miles of Fairfax, Virginia.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable working in Excel spreadsheets.
  • Excellent Time Management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong Verbal/Written Communication Skills via both phone and email.
  • Highly Organized with a strong Attention-To-Detail and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Passionate about providing consistent and timely customer service.


  • Base salary in the 48k - 55k/year range, depending on experience.
