Accounting Supervisor – Family-Owned HVAC Manufacturer – Base Salary to 90k/year – Chicago, IL
- Our client is a family-owned HVAC manufacturer with over 90 years of experience serving the Chicago market. They have an excellent company culture with room for growth!
- They are currently looking for an Accounting Supervisor, to lead and supervise their accounting team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor and supervise a small team of accounting clerks, accounting specialists, in addition to an outsourced team in India. Provide guidance, assign tasks, and ensure the team meets deadlines and maintains high quality standards.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Streamline accounting procedures and workflows for optimum productivity.
- Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor variances and work closely with management to analyze financial performance against budget goals.
- Oversee the billing/Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable function to ensure accuracy and collection of outstanding customer receivable balances, accurate recording, and timely payment of vendor invoices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent supervisory and leadership skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Compensation:
- Base salary in the 80k – 90k/year range and full benefits. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, 401k, PTO and much more.
