Accounting Auditor - Construction - Base Salary to 65k/year - Fort Lauderdale, FL

• A prominent company in the industry, known for its innovative and expert services across the country, is looking to expand its team with the addition of a Controller. With a reputation for excellence in every endeavor, this organization is supported by a team of highly skilled professionals.
• The Accounting Auditor will ensure the accuracy of financial records, identify discrepancies, streamline processes, and maintain the company's financial stability and regulatory compliance through extensive audit experience and strong management capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough audits of financial records, procedures, and transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
• Detect and investigate any inconsistencies, discrepancies, or potential financial misconduct in financial statements and transactions.
• Oversee and manage third-party audit requests, including those related to workers' compensation, union matters, and year-end reviews.
• Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all records.
• Prepare detailed reports summarizing audit findings and provide recommendations for improving financial controls, processes, and protocols.
• Collaborate with internal teams to implement recommended changes and improvements to financial systems and procedures.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes and controls to ensure ongoing compliance and accuracy.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of internal audit procedures and best practices.
• Stay informed of changes in accounting regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance and support continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance and support to colleagues on financial compliance and best practices.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and other reports as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years in auditing or similar role.
• Proficient in GAAP, financial software, and analysis.
• Strong ethics, integrity, and teamwork skills.

Compensation:

• Base salary to 65k/year
