Senior Quality Engineer - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 100k/year - Lancaster, PA  

  • Our client, with over 100 years of design, manufacturing and selling of custom solutions for power transmission, motion transfer and conveying applications is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for their Lancaster, PA location.  
  • The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for designing systems to monitor production quality continuously and collaborating with the production team to implement new testing criteria. Additionally, the Senior Quality Engineer will be collecting and analyzing data from production or laboratory processes and fostering effective collaboration within the company. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Serve as the primary Quality Assurance resource to department supervisors for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement. 
  • Develop, apply, and document quality requirements and standards for product manufacture and inspection. 
  • Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection. 
  • Establish supplier quality requirements and monitor and evaluate supplier performance. 
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits. 
  • Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal process owners to resolve quality problems and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented. 
  • Utilize Lean/Six Sigma problem-solving methodology. 
  • Exhibit excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Possess strong computer skills, including QA applications, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. 
  • Demonstrate initiative, meet commitments, and assist in creating new tools or solutions to achieve business results. 
  • Maintain a high level of energy, personal accountability, and integrity. 
  • Display a high attention to detail, check own work, keep accurate records, and organize information effectively. 
  • Take initiative, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment. 
  • Support New Product Project teams to ensure smooth transitions of new products into regular manufacturing processes. 
  • Assist Engineering, Manufacturing, and Marketing with product improvements. 
  • Proactively highlight potential quality issues to management. 
  • Responsible for documentation for first article inspections (PPAP). 

Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 5+ years of Quality Engineer experience within manufacturing 

Compensation: 

  • Base salary to 100k/year
