  • Our client, a stable, fast-growing mechanical servicing company, has an immediate need for a Project Sales Representative to handle a territory out of the Baltimore/DC/NoVA area.  Our client has been in business for over 30 years and has a stellar reputation in the industry.  They are a continually growing company, and they are looking to add a Project Sales Representative in the Baltimore/DC/NoVA area to help them take this division to new heights. The MD team operates as a tight-knit group, always willing to help each other out, and are looking for someone who operates from a “customer first” mentality in order to fit into this culture.
  • In this position, the Project Sales Representative will be responsible for fielding inbound project requests, building client relationships, as well as some new business development.  They will evaluate systems and components to determine the repairs, modifications, or replacements necessary to resolve issues with customers’ mechanical systems.  The Project Sales Representative will prepare project design, cost estimates, and formal project proposal documents and serve as the liaison between the customer and the project manager.  They will sell to facility owners, maintenance managers and engineers.

Qualifications:  The ideal candidate for this position will possess at least 3+ years of proven success in HVAC sales or come from the field and have a strong technical proficiency.  The candidate should be independent, self-motivated, and driven to take complete ownership over their role.  They should possess strong CRM experience and exceptional customer service skills.

Compensation:  Our client is offering a base salary up to 120k/year and an uncapped commission program that should put you in the 250k/year range first year, with the ability to do well beyond that as you grow.  The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, 401k, PTO and much more.  Additionally, there are other perks tied to company culture that make it a plus to work for this family-centric business!

What did you want to be when you grew up:

I wanted to be a teacher. I come from a family of teachers and coaches. I started coaching cheerleading in the ninth grade and while I veered from my path of becoming a math teacher, I am most passionate when I am able to mentor and coach others. At a young age, someone saw skills in me that I did not see in myself, and I love to be able to give that same gift back to others and help them grow their sales careers.

Fun Fact:

When I lived in Louisville, I decided to run the Kentucky Derby Festival Mini Marathon (13.1), having never been more than a 5K runner. I have always felt that running is a great metaphor for life.  Training for that race showed me not only what amazing things my body is capable of, but what mental toughness can, and will, carry you through. My brother, and huge support to me, ran the race with me that day with bands playing, strangers cheering me on, and a chance to run a lap right on the track at the beautiful, historic Churchill Downs. It was an amazing experience (that I have not repeated)!
