Sales Manager - Commercial Pumps and Controllers - Base salary to 150k/year – Washington, DC

  • Founded over 40 years ago, our client in the Commercial Pumps, Water Filtration and Preventative Maintenance space provides solutions for existing buildings and new builds. They are experiencing tremendous growth and looking to double their revenue within the next 5 years!
  • They are currently looking to hire a Sales Manager to join their team. This position will entail managing a team of 7 Outside Sales Representatives (all remote in the DMV area). The representatives call on Property Managers, and Building Engineers. The Ideal candidate for this position will reside in Maryland, Virginia, or DC areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the industrial sales team that promotes and sells Commercial Pumps, Water Filtration and Preventative Maintenance solutions to Property Managers and Building Engineers.
  • Outside making joint sales calls with the Sales Representatives 3-4 days/week (work from your home office the other time to handle any administrative work necessary).
  • Assist the Sales Representatives with going after commercial accounts such as Colleges, Universities, Airports, Hospitals as well as other industrial accounts and specific contractors.
  • Work with the service team internally to ensure the customers are receiving proper care, and coordinate with the estimating team and engineering teams for pricing and selections

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of outside sales experience AND 5+ years of industrial sales management experience managing at least 4 Outside Sales Representatives (preference to industrial pump/mechanical/engineered product sales experience).
  • Reside within a 60-mile radius of Washington, DC
  • Possess a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and experience with a CRM system
  • Must have a clean driving record

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 140k - 150k/year range plus an annual bonus
  • Company vehicle with insurance 100% paid and gas (as well as oil changes, car washes)
