Junior Paving Foreman – Civil Construction Company – Base Salary to 25.00/hour – Broken Bow, NE
- Our client is a Nebraska civil company that specializes in paving, earthwork, utility, and concrete work throughout Nebraska, South Dakota, and Kansas. They are a family-owned operation that has been servicing the area since 1964.
- In this role, the Junior Paving Foreman will be traveling throughout the Midwest performing paving work, to include horizontal boring, utility work, earthwork, and concrete for various municipalities. They need someone with a strong background in paving / roadwork who is ready to take the next step into a Foreman role.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee crews of 4-8 people
- Tracking man hours
- Set elevations, figure out grades, slopes, etc
- Finish concrete
- Conduct safety briefings
- Run all manner of heavy equipment
- Interface with crews, project owners, and engineers
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of paving and/or roads experience
- Ability to set elevations, figure out grades, slopes, etc
- Willingness to travel consistently, Monday to Friday
- Acceptable driving record, CDL is a plus
- Proficiency in running heavy equipment related to roadwork construction
- Willingness to work hands-on alongside the crew (this is not a sit-in-truck kind of role)
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment, and interface with project owners and engineers
Compensation:
- Base salary to 25.00/hour plus consistent OT (10-20 hours/week) and per diem (40.00/night with housing provided)
