Territory Sales Representative - Senior Level - Mechanical Service - Mechanical Contractor in Baltimore, MD, 30 Year Old Company. Base to $125k + Commission, Growing Company.

  • Our client, a stable, fast-growing mechanical contractor, has an immediate need for an Outside Territory Sales Representative (internally titled "Sales Engineer"), to handle a territory out of the Baltimore, MD area.  Our client has been in business for over 30 years and has a stellar reputation in the industry.  They are a continually growing company, and they are looking to add a rep in MD/DC/VA area to help them take this division to new heights. The Baltimore team operates as a tight-knit group, always willing to help each other out, and are looking for someone who operates from a “customer first” mentality in order to fit into this culture.
  • In this position, the Outside Sales Representative (Sales Engineer) will be responsible for new business generation and hunting for new customers, as well as fielding inbound project requests.  They will prepare project design, cost estimates, and formal project proposal documents and serve as the liaison between the customer and the project manager.  They will sell to facility owners, maintenance managers and engineers.

Compensation:  Our client is offering a solid compensation package for this position, that typically puts you around $150K in the first year with an uncapped commission plan that can have top performers doing well beyond that in subsequent years.  The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, 401k, PTO and much more.  Additionally, there are other perks tied to company culture that make it a plus to work for this family-owned business!

Requirements:  The ideal candidate for this position will possess a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 5 years of proven outside sales success, preferably with experience in HVAC or selling a service.  The candidate should be independent, self-motivated, and driven to take complete ownership over their role.  They should possess strong CRM experience and exceptional customer service skills.
