Territory Sales Rep - Midwest - Manufacturing/Industrial Sector - Take over Long Established Existing Account Base - Base to 65k

  • Our Client, a privately-owned company that has been in business for over 75 years and are a national leader in their industry segment, is seeking Territory Sales Representative (internally titled "Regional Sales Manager") in the Midwest covering a multi-state territory.  This is an immediate opening due to the impending retirement of the existing Rep.  As such, this person will take over all of the existing accounts in the region and be set up for immediate success in this role.
  • In this role, the Regional Sales Manager will sell through distributors and end users in the industrial/manufacturing sector.  This role is primarily account management of existing accounts with a small portion of business development.  The candidate who assumes this position should have excellent relationship building skills.  The exact home location can be flexible as this will be covering a large Midwest region.  The ideal locations to be based from include Chicago or Milwaukee, but this is not required.  As long as you are in the region, and open to the travel, home location can be flexible.  In this role, you will be training directly by the VP of Sales and report to him.

Compensation for this position will include a base Salary to $65k plus opportunity for bonus and commission bringing you to $75k.  The benefits are solid and will include a company provided vehicle, reimbursement for all business expenses, excellent healthcare benefits, a 401k with company match and more.

Requirements: The ideal candidate will have 1 to 5 years of Technical Sales Experience into the Industrial/Manufacturing segment. They will also possess a Bachelor Degree. Preference for Engineering Degrees or strong technical aptitude.  Candidate should also have the ability to travel between 25-50% as required.
