Territory Sales Rep - Leading Building Product Manufacturer - Base To $70k, Excellent Benefits – North Florida
Our client, a worldwide privately owned manufacturer and distributor of a line of building products, has an immediate need for a skilled Territory Sales Rep to help grow an expanding territory for them in the North Florida region. This is a remote based role, with the ideal home location being Jacksonville, FL. The region will cover the panhandle out towards Tallahassee, down to Daytona and north up to Hilton Head.
This company is a fantastic company that has been in business for over 50 years and has been extremely profitable and successful over their many years in business. It is a privately owned company, with locations and business units all throughout the United States. They are extremely well run, and pride themselves on being a great place to work and build a career. They have very little turnover, and very much believe in promoting from within.
Basically, the Territory Sales Rep is fully responsible for driving revenue and margin and overall customer relationships with all accounts in this territory. This role will be a mix of both driving new accounts as well as maximizing revenue from the current customer base. In this North Florida region that is prime for rapid growth, this position will focus a bit more on hunting for new customers. And while the primary focus of this role is new business prospecting, the Territory Sales Rep will also be taking over the existing clients and relationships in this territory and growing those relationships as well. They will also handle the new customers that they bring in. As far as the customer base, this role will call on mostly prodealer and lumberyards, as well as door shops and some independent retail accounts. Your contacts will include buyers, front line managers and small business owners within this retail and distribution sector. Candidate should be extremely comfortable in working a remote territory with little day to day management. Need to be highly independent to succeed in this role.
Compensation will be a base salary plus strong guaranteed commission package that will start you in the $55k to $70k range. And this will be guaranteed, meaning you won’t earn less than this number. But the package will be uncapped, meaning as commissions grow, so will this number if you are able to exceed the guaranteed commissions. This person should be earning $100k+ within 3 years in this role. There is no cap on the commissions, and this Territory is poised for significant growth in revenue and commission potential. Requirements for this position include 3+ years of successful outside sales experience as well as a Bachelors Degree. A preference will be given to candidates with a background in building materials, but that is not required.
