Our client, a strong and well established building product manufacturer, has an immediate need for a skilled Territory Sales Rep for their Northern New Jersey Region.  Ideally, this person will be based out of Morristown, NJ, though this is flexible.  The territory will also some of Northeastern PA.

The TSR will sell commercial building products to the distributor and contractor market.  Working the territory in a remote, work from home situation, the Territory Sales Rep will take over in a well performing market.  The duties will include both taking over and developing the existing relationships in their network of contractors, but also hunt for new potential customers as well.  Another piece of the position will be to call on architects and consultants to help get produce specified on particular projects.  In terms of the company, this is a long standing leader in their segment of the construction and building products industry.  They have been manufacturing their product line for over 40 years, and continue to grow and expand today.  The company has a fantastic reputation and history, and offers a great place to work and grow in a sales career.

The compensation in this position will include a very solid base salary of around $75k, as well as a commission plan based on a percentage of sales.  This should be around $100k in total compensation in the first year.  Also included will be a competitive car allowance, cell phone and laptop.  The comprehensive benefits package will include a medical, dental and vision, prescription plan, life insurance, 401k with a company match, paid vacation and holidays, a profit sharing plan and more.  With the expected growth of this territory, the total comp in this territory should pay around $150k within a few years.  So there is a ton of potential for growth.

Requirements for this position include a Bachelors Degree in business or a related field.  At least 5 years of successful commercial building products / commercial construction sales experience is required, ideally coming from a role that focused on selling to the contractor market.
