Territory Sales Rep with Manufacturer of Safety Equipment in Construction/Industrial Market. Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Comp $120k+

Our client, a leading manufacturer and distributor of construction safety equipment in North America, has an immediate need for a Territory Sales Rep to sell a line of safety scaffolding and fall protection solutions for the construction and industrial markets.  The company has grown into one of the largest players in their industry here in North America, this growth being the reason why the company has this opening.  This position will be based in Canada out of Vancouver, BC, and will sell all over that market.

As a Territory Sales Rep with this company, the focus will be selling a line of rental safety scaffolding within this construction and industrial industry segment.

Selling in this role will combine both generating new sales leads and customers, hunting for new business, as well has growing deeper and stronger relationships with the current client base.  Ultimately, the Rep will be focused on building revenues in the territory through a healthy combination of both new business and relationship development.  The Rep will be trained to be a product expert, and they will be able to understand what the customer’s needs are through reading and understanding blueprints, plans, specifications and more.  The Rep will use all of this data to prepare very through sales proposals and presentations.  The Rep will also be involved after the sale in order to help coordinate the delivery and installation of the equipment.

Compensation for this role will include a strong base salary that will be flexible depending on experience, plus a very lucrative commission plan.  A well performing Rep in this role should expect to earn no less than $120k annually, with the upside taking you much higher.  In addition, the company offers a car allowance, cell phone, laptop, medical, dental, vision, 401k with a solid company match, generous paid time off, company provided training and much more.

To be qualified for this position, our client is looking for a candidate with at least 3 years of business to business sales experience selling in to the construction and/or industrial market.  The ideal industry experience would be someone that is already familiar with the safety industry and scaffolding products.  Candidate should have a strong understanding of the Vancouver business market.  Candidate should have a Bachelors Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or a similar field.  Client will consider a candidate no degree as long as they have a strong background in the industry.
