Territory Sales Manager - Commercial Lines Insurance - Well Established Regional Carrier - Base to $100k, Amazing Benefits

Our client, a strong and stable regional property and casualty insurance carrier, has an immediate need for a skilled Territory Sales Manager to handle a territory covering west of Philadelphia in the Eastern PA region.  The ideal candidate will be based out of the West Chester, PA area.  This is a fantastic company to work for, and a very well-established market to step in to.

The role of the Territory Sales Manager will be to continue to grow existing relationships in the region to improve agency retention as well as help increase quote activity.  While this position will handle both commercial and personal lines, the focus will be to increase Commercial Lines business within the region.  In addition, the TSM will provide amazing customer service to the base of independent agencies within the assigned region. 

Specific duties will include: 

  • Work in the field daily, visiting agencies, strengthening relationships and prospecting for new business with the goal of appointing new agencies into the network.
  • Train agencies on the company’s services in order to help the agent grow their business.
  • Inform the agency base on all the various commercial and personal lines insurance products offered by the company.
  • Share company’s rates, incentives, products and more.
  • Provide commercial and personal lines quotes, as needed.
  • Analyze the book of agencies for profitability, create agency plans to share with the agents, establish goals.

Compensation for this role includes a base salary in the $80k-$100k range, with a strong bonus program.  The benefits are excellent and will include a car package, cell phone, laptop, medical, dental, vision, company paid life insurance, generous paid time off through PTO, sick time and holidays, 401k with a company match, continuing education, and more.

Requirements include at least 5 years of experience marketing commercial and personal lines property and casualty insurance within the Eastern Pennsylvania market.  Must have strong commercial experience.  Must be very familiar with the independent agency network, have a familiarity with the agencies in the region, and have experience calling on medium and larger sized agencies.  A Bachelors degree is strongly preferred, along with applicable insurance designations.
