Our client, a top notch international leader in the manufacturing world, has an immediate need for a skilled candidate for their company’s Technical Sales Development Program. In essence, this is an entry level sales opportunity that will train and develop a top notch candidate into a dynamic technical sales position, with endless career growth opportunities both professionally and financially.

For this Technical Sales Developmental Program, our client is looking for recent graduates that have a drive to sell technical products that are used by industrial and manufacturing companies all over the globe to solve complex engineering problems. In this role, you will be training and developed as a product expert in order to represent this company’s product line out in the field. Once training is complete, you will be promoted into a field based role, working with a team of mentors to help you be successful out in the field with customers. This sales environment is not about heavy cold calling, but working with existing customers, solving problems, offering solutions, and building long term relationships as a technical consultant and problem solver. You will call on manufacturing and industrial customers in a local market, working out in the field 3-4 days a week. You will be heavily supported in the field as well. Once successful in this role, you will be promoted to a more senior sales role, where you continue to develop relationships, as well as mentor other more junior sales staff as they get up to speed.
The compensation is impressive, offering a starting base salary in the mid $50k’s to mid $65k’s. In addition, there is a strong bonus and commission plan that will take your first year income to around $75k-$80k. With this plan, a person performing up to expectations will be earning $100k+ by the third year in the program. In addition to the salary and commission package, the company also offers a fantastic benefits package including car allowance, mileage and expense reimbursement, relocation assistance, healthcare benefits, paid time off, 401k, and much more. The compensation is an industry leading package that puts this opportunity at the highest end of similar roles.
Requirements for this position include a four year degree in a relatable business or engineering field, as well as a strong technical and mechanical aptitude. The client is looking for exceptional talent, thus a successful candidate will typically have a strong GPA and notable achievements in college. Candidates with 1 year of professional sales experience will be considered, and a military background is a strong plus as well. An absolute must in this role would be a dynamic and outgoing personality, mixed with the mechanical aptitude. Ability to move and relocate is a must as well.
