Senior Project Manager / Business Unit Leader - Facility Protection Industry - Base to $90k + Bonus, Excellent Benefits

Our client, a national leader in the Facility Protection Industry, has an immediate need for a senior level Project Manager to be based out of the Raleigh, NC area.  This is an excellent company, having been in business for more than 30 years, and is the nation’s largest designer, installer, and manufacturer in the Facility Protection industry.

In this Senior Project Manager role, internally called a Business Unit Manager, you will be fully responsible for the leadership and performance of all of the projects that happen within this assigned region, making sure all are compliant and in-line with the company’s values and objectives.  This person is responsible for the safety of employees, human resources issues, building team culture, customer service and the overall profitability of the business unit, and all the projects that happen inside the business unit.

Specific duties in this role include:

  • Hiring, training and leading all of the field techs that work on the assigned projects.
  • Monitor the project schedule to make sure crews are maximized and profitable.
  • Working with the Safety Team to ensure proper safety compliance for the team.
  • Coordinating with the warehouse manager to coordinate the most effective use of trucks, materials, tools and people.
  • Work with the purchasing manager to order materials as needed, and to cover upcoming projects.
  • Review upcoming designs and quotes, update project info in SharePoint.
  • Handle communications with all customers, being prompt with return calls and solving problems.
  • Handle invoicing and collections issues for the business unit.
  • Responsibility for all of the HR needs for the unit, including terminations as needed.

Compensation for this position will include a base salary in the $80k-$90k range, which will ultimately be based on qualifications and experience.  There is also a bonus program that will be based on the financial performance of the business unit.  The company also offers a medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k with company match, generous paid time off, and more.

Required for this position is a solid leadership and project management background in a construction or similar industry.  Should have experience leading field service techs, handling account management and customer service with clients, have had P&L responsibility and experience monitoring safety and HR policies and procedures.
