Sales Account Executive - Dynamic Freight Logistics Provider - Base to $60k + Commission, Excellent Benefits

  • Our client, a strong and well established international freight logistics company, has an immediate need for a Sales Account Executive to be based out of their Dulles, VA branch location.  The person in this role will be responsible for the growth of new business within the assigned territory, reporting to the Branch Manager.
  • Duties in this role will include new business development in all the company’s business lines including air freight, ocean freight, brokerage and warehousing.  You will develop new leads, working out in the field 3 days a week and in the office the other 2.  You will also work to maximize sales and business relationships from the existing clients base.  This is very much of an analytical, solutions base sale, focused on long term relationship building and advising.

Compensation, this role offers a solid base salary in the $50k-$60k range, along with a lucrative commission package.  The benefits are excellent and include medical with HSA, dental, life, disability, company matching 401k program, generous PTO, paid holidays, EAP program and more.

Qualifications: Desired skilled and background include at least 1 year of sales/operations/customer service experience in freight forwarding, international logistics, supply chain, import/export or a closely related field.  Candidate should have a strong analytical and solutions-oriented approach to selling.  Not looking for the pushy, high pressure sales personality.  Instead, should be a good listener who is organized, smart, and analytical in their approach to clients.  Should be very good at math and spreadsheets.  A Bachelors Degree is required in this role.
