Regional Sales Rep - Global Building Product Manufacturer, Selling to Distributors - Mid-Atlantic Region - To $90k

  • Our client, an international manufacturer of a wide variety of innovative exterior building products, has an immediate need for a skilled Regional Sales Rep to handle a territory that will cover the Mid-Atlantic territory.  This is a remote based position, and the ideal home location for a candidate would be in or around the Baltimore, MD to Fairfax, VA region.  This company is a worldwide leader in their industry and have expanded all over the globe.  With this company’s growth and expansion, this is an exciting time to be involved in the company.
  • In this Regional Sales Rep position, our client is looking for someone that can help support the company’s distributors by helping to generate pull through sales of the assigned building products.
  • The Regional Sales Rep will work to grow new customers, they will help increase demand and brand awareness and train the customer sales staff on how to sell the product line effectively.  In addition to generating new business, this person will also maintain and grow existing accounts as well.  They will also help guide the independent sales reps when needed.  In addition to driving product through the distributors, they will work with and have contact many different levels of contacts including dealers, contractors, architects, and facility managers.  They will stay up to date on trends in the market and pricing.  They will also help in the marketing side, adding input to promotional positions, advertising, public relations and more.  This person will also play a role in strategic planning on sales goals, territory strategy, pricing issues and more in conjunction with the Director of Sales.

Compensation: this position will offer a very strong base salary, and a lucrative commission package.  The base salary will be in the $70k-$80k range, with an annual bonus that can take you up to around $90k in total compensation.  The company also offers a fantastic benefits package that will include car and travel allowance, laptop, cell phone, healthcare, 401k with a company match, generous paid time off and much more.

Qualifications for this position include at least 2 years of solid sales experience selling a building product to the distributor market and having experience working with dealers, contractors, architects and facility managers.  A Bachelors Degree is preferred for this role, but not required.
