Regional Sales Manager - Paints/Coatings Industry - Base $80k, Total $110k+ Car, Benefits
- Our client, a strong and well-established manufacturer of paint and coating products, has an immediate need for a skilled Regional Sales Manager for a territory that will include the Texas and surrounding areas. This person can be based in any major city located in this market. Travel through the region will be around 40% total.
- The Regional Manager will be tasked with developing a larger market via direct sales calls and supervision of independent representatives. This will involve calling on dealer and distributor networks, selling to business owners and senior managers. Working the territory in a remote, work from home situation, the RSM will take over in an existing market as the company splits are larger territory into two smaller territories. While the role will be primary focused on new business development, the RSM will also take over existing relationships and work to grow and expand those relationships. In terms of the company, this is an emerging player in the lucrative paints and coatings industry. The company has a fantastic reputation and history and offers a great place to work and grow in a sales career.
Compensation for this role will be a base salary in the $70k-$80k range, plus another $20k-$30k in a bonus program. Annual on-target earnings in this role will be around $110k. Also included will be a competitive car allowance, cell phone and laptop. The comprehensive benefits package will include a medical, dental and vision, prescription plan, life insurance, 401k with a company match, paid vacation and holidays, a profit-sharing plan and more.
Requirements include at least 3 years of experience selling in the paint and coating industry, ideally calling on dealer and distributor networks. Candidate should have strong technical knowledge and contacts within the flooring, concrete, masonry, and coating products industry. Should have a history of successful cold calling and new market development, with a history of calling on business owners and senior managers. Ability to use MS Excel and Salesforce is a strong plus.
