Regional Sales Manager - Northeast Territory - Leading National Building Product Manufacturer - Food & Beverage Market Segment - Base $85k, Total $100k+
- Our client, a strong and growing building products manufacturer, has an immediate need for a skilled Regional Sales Manager to help continue the growth of one of their key market segments in their Northeast Region. The person in this role will report to the Director of Sales, and drive product sales of a niche building product targeting cold storage based companies in the Food & Beverage industry sector. The ideal location for a candidate to be home based will be Newark, NJ, Boston, MA, or Baltimore, MD.
- In this role, the Regional Sales Manager will step into a very well performing Northeastern territory. They will take over all of the existing accounts as well as work to build and grow the business and relationships in the market. The market will include all of New England as well as the Mid Atlantic as far south as Washington, DC. This is a remote based position.
- Duties in this role will include leading the territory sales team in driving new business through direct customers as well as specifications influencers. Will lead the internal sales team including preparing estimates and reading blueprints as well as handling lead management. Manage all of the day to day sales activities which will include cold calling, qualifying leads, and closing business. Manage all of the KPI’s for the team using Salesforce. Handle key customers and relationships directly. Bee involved in all of the strategic planning for the region. In addition, this person will serve as a product expert speaking to influencers such as architects, contractors and building owners.
Compensation will include a strong base salary in the $65k-$85k range, plus a very lucrative commission plan and annual bonus program. Requirements for this role include at least 5 years of building products sales experience. Experience selling metal panels and/or building envelope construction is a plus. Ideal background will be selling products that deal in cold storage, metal panels, insulation, or windows & doors. Existing contacts within the food and beverage market and/or cold storage is a plus as well. Candidate should have a Bachelors Degree. Candidate must have experience reading blueprints and preparing estimates.
